Ramadaniyat 4: The Most Beautiful Human Gesture in Ramadan | A Delicious Pumpkin Cake Recipe

Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was the most generous of people and he was at his most generous in Ramadan when he would meet Jibril and he would review the Qur’an with him” (narrated by Al-Bukhari.)

Generosity is a beautiful trait of Arabs. Honoring the guest is a generosity of self, as generosity is one of the best deeds.

Many Arab families fall for the mistake of preparing a lot of food that exceeds the need of the family and guests in the month of Ramadan and often ends in the trash. The family should share it with relatives and friends or distribute it to those in need. The relief of the needy is one of the signs of virility, honor, and the essence of worship.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The food of one person is enough for two, and the food of two people is enough for four, and the food of four people is enough for eight” (narrated by Muslim.)

 

A Recipe of a Delicious Pumpkin Cake 

Ingredients

  • Three cups of almond flour

  • Half a cup of almond butter or plain butter

  • A can of organic pumpkin

  • Two-thirds cup honey

  • Six eggs

  • One spoon baking soda

  • One teaspoon salt

  • One teaspoon of cinnamon

  • Half a teaspoon of nutmeg

  • Half teaspoon ginger powder

  • A pinch of cloves

  • A cup of chopped pecans

  • Chopped pecan, pumpkin seeds and sunflowers (for garnich)

 

Preparation:

Turn on oven to 350 ° F (180 ° C.)

Mix all ingredients (except nuts and seeds) until they hold together.

Cover baking sheet with parchment paper, then pour the mixture into the baking sheet.

Garnish with pecans, pumpkin seeds and sunflowers.

Bake for 15 minutes. Take it out of the oven and let it cool before serving. Enjoy with your family and friends.
