Ramadiyat 19: How to devote the housewife’s time for worship – Chicken and Potatoes Recipe

Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): “O you who have believed, eat from the good things which We have provided for you and be grateful to Allah if it is [indeed] Him that you worship.” (Al-Baqara: 172)

Praise be to Allah for the blessings of foods He provides for us. But we must use these blessings moderately. Organizing time for Ramadan meals and recipes helps the housewife to be organized during this holy month. This increases her energy and gives her enough time to complete her religious duties.

It is preferable to buy adequate quantities of food for a week and to choose and prepare a list of a variety of dishes and healthy recipes for the family to enjoy. It is also a good idea to focus on cooking one main dish in one meal to avoid wasting food.

This allows the housewife to devote herself to worship for longer periods in the holy month and not spend most of her time in the kitchen. The duties and prayers in Ramadan were imposed on women as imposed on men. Support your wife, mother, and sisters to complete their religious duties and obey Allah by helping them as much as possible in organizing their times. Also, help them prepare food and taking care of the family in the month of generosity and good deeds.



Chicken and Potatoes Recipe —  Easy and Simple for Ramadan

Chicken and Potato Recipe



  • 1 kilo small potatoes, cut into halves

  • 1 kilo of chicken pieces, boneless and skinless

  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes, cut into halves

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil

  • 2 teaspoons of thyme

  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon of salt or as desired

  • Ground black pepper, as desired

  • 1/2 a lemon

  • 3 tablespoons parsley, minced finely chopped



Preheat the oven to 425 ° F (220 ° C). Place the chicken on one side and the potatoes on the other side of the baking tray. Drizzle potatoes and chicken with olive oil. Then sprinkle with thyme, garlic powder, and salt and pepper as desired. Mix potatoes with the ingredients then spread on one side of the baking sheet. Mix the chicken with the ingredients, spread on the other side of the baking sheet, then place the cherry tomatoes over the chicken.

Place the baking sheet on the bottom shelf in the oven for 25 to 30 minutes, then roast for 5 minutes. Take it out of the oven, drizzle lemon juice on the whole dish, then sprinkle with parsley. Enjoy it with your family!
