The Arabs said: “Eat while you desire the food and stop eating while you desire the food.”
Some people eat a large amount of food throughout Ramadan, which leads to weight gain.
So eat when you crave food, and do not let food be just for fun, do not make the instinct of hunger emanating from the nice aroma of food make you overeat until your stomach hurt, which leads to obesity.
In the prophetic Sunnah of urging moderation in food, and condemns the extravagance of anything.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The son of Adam cannot fill a vessel worse than his stomach, as it is enough for him to take a few bites to straighten his back. If he cannot do it, then he may fill it with a third of his food, a third of his drink, and a third of his breath.” (Narrated by Ahmad and Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah)
And if the stomach is full it brings corruption in religion and the world.
So eat the meal of Iftar and Suhoor, including appetizers and desserts moderately. Choose to eat more vegetables and fruits, avoid sweetened beverages, and do moderate exercise every day like walking to help maintain a healthy weight.
